Stockingtops is led by Grenville Jones.

Grenville is well known as the conductor of Bath's famous Silver Ring Choir of Bath and the man who launched The City of Bath Male Choir in February 2006, which now has 70 members.

He explains his reasons for starting the group: " I went to the Widcombe Rising event last year in Bath and heard a super girls harmony group called, 'Handbags of Harmony' from Chester. I decided to start a similar girls group here in Bath, made up of girls who like Swing with their Sing.

"Stockingtops is not a ladies choir, not a ladies barbershop group, but a harmony group with a difference. The music will vary from the Andrews Sisters, Bette Midler 60 and 70's numbers and lots more. Music to make your feet tap - think Chapel in the Valley and Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy!" he adds.

Kerrie Duce works with Grenville on all matters musical. She is a talented musician who gained her degree in music at Bath Spa University College, specialising in performance. Kerrie is a primary school teacher at Barrs Court Primary School and is Musical Director for Bristol Amateur Operatic Society Juniors and Adults.
